Bush Gives Abramoff Prosecutor Judgeship
The Abramoff scandal is about corruption and ethics. So Bush has now decided to nominate the chief prosecutor in the inquiry to a federal judgeship. Bush has no sense of what is ethical or moral. This shines a light on how deep the corruption is ingrained in Washington. The White House spin is that this prosecutor was going to be given the judgeship all along. He is the lead prosecutor is the biggest Washington corruption scandal in a generation, for that reason alone he should be left to run the Abramoff case. Bush sees a need to use his power to influence the case to try and protect his friends and himself. Abramoff has already pleaded guilty. He is talking.
