He should just thank the British for uncovering the plot, as we all should. Bush thinks he needs to remind us about terrorism and the need to fight it. NOBODY is calling to end the fight against terrorism. Bush is desperate to justify his misguided fiasco in Iraq but the war in Iraq has not done anything (obviously) to deter the terrorists. "Weeks before September 11th, this is going to play big," said another White House official, who also spoke on condition of not being named, adding that some Democratic candidates won't "look as appealing" under the circumstances.
