Bush only listens to Bush
In an article Howard Fineman wrote on Bush there is a paragraph that shows the contempt that Bush has for Congress. Republican Senator John Warner went to Iraq last month and came back with an assessment that Bush did not want to hear. Even though the news wasn’t good (and how could it have been) Bush, as The Decider, should have at least sat down with Warner for a discussion. From Newsweek: Bush's newfound confidence in and focus on his role as commander in chief matched Karl Rove's my-way-or-the-highway theory of public life. He hasn't bothered to meet with Sen. John Warner, the chairman of the Armed Services Committee, who recently came back from a fact-finding trip to Iraq. Watch for Warner to reward the president by declaring that American soldiers are now dying there in vain.Warner has been towing the line and covering for Bush for six years. He is highly respected by the military and chairman of the Armed Services Committee. Why would Bush, the Commander and Chief, NOT MEET with Warner after he came back from a fact finding mission to Iraq? That is idiotic, Warner has spoken out that a change in course is needed in Iraq and Bush will not even have a meeting to hear what he has to say in person. |

Well just add Congress to the list. Bush has shown contempt towards the American people, the Constitution, Bill of Rights, Geneva Conventions, I/P peace process, and the list goes on and on and on.
Tick tock, tick tock! How many more must die before this nightmare is over?
You're right Gracie, Bush believes everything and everybody else is beneath him.
Nov 7 is the day to start over.
