Famous Quotes

"Every government degenerates when trusted to the rulers of the people alone. The people themselves, therefore, are its only safe depositories. "
Thomas Jefferson, 1781

"In the councils of government, we must guard against the acquisition of unwarranted influence, whether sought or unsought, by the military-industrial complex. The potential for the disastrous rise of misplaced power exists and will persist. "
Dwight D. Eisenhower

"How many legs does a dog have if you call the tail a leg?
Four.
Calling a tail a leg doesn't make it a leg."
Abraham Lincoln

"See, in my line of work you got to keep repeating things over and over and over again for the truth to sink in, to kind of catapult the propaganda."
George W. Bush, May 24, 2005

Just Don't Think About What's Next

This is the kind of blind faith that has gotten us into the Iraq Fiasco. Block all debates, talk about non-issues (like the Pelosi airplane BS) and follow Bush into oblivion.
Lieberman: I just — I'm going to do everything I can to support it and I hope it does work and that we won't have to think about what's next.
So Lieberman doesn't want to worry his sorry ass about what's happening in Iraq. He doesn't want to THINK ABOUT IT! Just send in the troops and forget about it. How did this guy get re-elected?
Somebody better have a plan for when the shit continues to fly.
