Famous Quotes

"Every government degenerates when trusted to the rulers of the people alone. The people themselves, therefore, are its only safe depositories. "
Thomas Jefferson, 1781

"In the councils of government, we must guard against the acquisition of unwarranted influence, whether sought or unsought, by the military-industrial complex. The potential for the disastrous rise of misplaced power exists and will persist. "
Dwight D. Eisenhower

"How many legs does a dog have if you call the tail a leg?
Four.
Calling a tail a leg doesn't make it a leg."
Abraham Lincoln

"See, in my line of work you got to keep repeating things over and over and over again for the truth to sink in, to kind of catapult the propaganda."
George W. Bush, May 24, 2005

Republicans are "united" in "more of the same" for years to come. Democrats are said to be "divided", so what, they understand that a change is needed. We need MORE IDEAS not less!!! Stay the course means more Americans die for years to come and hundreds of billions of dollars wasted.
"Stay the course" is not a coherent plan. "We'll stand down when they stand up" is not a plan.
Bush won't even pay for this war, it's all on credit for the next generation to pay.
