"Every government degenerates when trusted to the rulers of the people alone. The people themselves, therefore, are its only safe depositories. "
Thomas Jefferson, 1781

"In the councils of government, we must guard against the acquisition of unwarranted influence, whether sought or unsought, by the military-industrial complex. The potential for the disastrous rise of misplaced power exists and will persist. "
Dwight D. Eisenhower

"How many legs does a dog have if you call the tail a leg?
Four.
Calling a tail a leg doesn't make it a leg."
Abraham Lincoln

"See, in my line of work you got to keep repeating things over and over and over again for the truth to sink in, to kind of catapult the propaganda."
George W. Bush, May 24, 2005

Vote Democratic

Michael J. Fox

Return some sanity to Washington and Vote Democratic. The "compassionate conservative" agenda has become a matter of life and death for us and future generations. It must be stopped.

In 1991 Michael J. Fox was diagnosed with young-onset Parkinson's disease, but didn't go public until 1998. Since then he has been a strong advocate of Parkinson's disease research, especially stem cell research, which he believes may one day help sufferers of Parkinson's and other debilitating illnesses. His foundation, The Michael J. Fox Foundation, was created to help advance this research.

In 2005, he opened the Muhammad Ali Center in Louisville, Kentucky, United States as a tribute to boxer Muhammad Ali, fellow Parkinson's sufferer.

He is 45 years old.

Now that is a gut wrencher!

It's inexcusable for this administration to intentionally withhold life saving research funds that could change the lives of so many people all for political purposes.

This is a perfect example of why our FF didn't want God in government. I could go on and on..................

Thanks for this clip, researcher.

Gracie, this issue alone should open peoples eyes to the incredible hypocrisy of the compassionate conservative.

this is just an awesome ad. My heart breaks for him and everyone who could benefit from stem cell research.
