Bill Moyers discusses Net Neutrality

"The Net At Risk" on PBS.
The future of the Internet is up for grabs. Last year, the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) effectively eliminated net neutrality rules, which ensured that every content creator on the Internet-from big-time media concerns to backroom bloggers-had equal opportunity to make their voice heard. Now, large and powerful corporations are lobbying Washington to turn the World Wide Web into what critics call a "toll road," threatening the equitability that has come to define global democracy's newest forum. Yet the public knows little about what's happening behind closed doors on Capitol Hill.

What a wealth of info on that PBS site. I'm anxious to watch it when all is quiet in my house.

Did you catch the interview Moyers had with Amy Goodman regarding the Abramhoff scandal? I TIVO'd it but think it's going to rebroadcast this weekend on DN. Let me get back to you that one.

He's putting out so much info I'm having a hard time keeping up with all of it. :)

Gracie, I never saw that interview but just found it online at DN. Thanks for letting me know.
The "Moyers on America" programs are all really good. The last one on Net Neutrality wasn't shown on TV here in Indiana, kinda made me suspicious.

They haven't aired them in NC either. Apparently each area determines how the funding will be distributed so it doesn't shock me certain locales do not find it worthy.

OT. I just caught CSPAN Booknotes featuring Moyers son discussing his personal experience with drug addiction. BM and wife were on & I've gain even more respect for him after watching, if that's possible. Try CSPAN to view online. If you're a big Moyers fan, it's a must see.
