Famous Quotes

"Every government degenerates when trusted to the rulers of the people alone. The people themselves, therefore, are its only safe depositories. "
Thomas Jefferson, 1781

"In the councils of government, we must guard against the acquisition of unwarranted influence, whether sought or unsought, by the military-industrial complex. The potential for the disastrous rise of misplaced power exists and will persist. "
Dwight D. Eisenhower

"How many legs does a dog have if you call the tail a leg?
Four.
Calling a tail a leg doesn't make it a leg."
Abraham Lincoln

"See, in my line of work you got to keep repeating things over and over and over again for the truth to sink in, to kind of catapult the propaganda."
George W. Bush, May 24, 2005

Bush: We've never been “stay the course”

On ABC’s “This Week” Bush said that his strategy has never been “stay the course”.
Is he delusional? When he said it I almost fell over in my chair. Then Stephanopoulos lets him off the hook instead of saying, Mr. President W T F are you talking about!!! How the hell can he say that? That's ALL he's been saying for 3 YEARS!!!

Think Progress has the video
, the transcript and links to a couple of Bush quotes when he seems to say “We’ll stay the course”.
BUSH: We will stay the course. [8/30/06]

BUSH: We will stay the course, we will complete the job in Iraq. [8/4/05]

BUSH: We will stay the course until the job is done, Steve. And the temptation is to try to get the President or somebody to put a timetable on the definition of getting the job done. We’re just going to stay the course. [12/15/03]

BUSH: And my message today to those in Iraq is: We’ll stay the course. [4/13/04]

BUSH: And that’s why we’re going to stay the course in Iraq. And that’s why when we say something in Iraq, we’re going to do it. [4/16/04]

BUSH: And so we’ve got tough action in Iraq. But we will stay the course. [4/5/04]

The Bush administration now insists that they have never said "stay the course" was their bumper sticker strategy. Only a brain dead idiot can believe this hypocrisy. They actually get on national TV and spew this crap and think you are going to believe it.
Everybody with half a brain knows Bush is responsible for the biggest catastrophe of our lifetime.
If you voted for Bush you owe it to the world to vote Democratic. Put a leash on these lying liars.

Well, before I'd let my head explode over his childish lies...I'd prefer his head exploded after November 8th and he realizes he's about to get whacked upside his Unconstitutional little head by the RULE of LAW!

Karen, what drives me nuts is when Stephanopoulos just keeps on talking like nothing was said. He really needed to call him on these lies. Instead he keeps following his script. Bush may be in for an awakening if he loses control of his congressional yes men.
