Famous Quotes

"Every government degenerates when trusted to the rulers of the people alone. The people themselves, therefore, are its only safe depositories. "
Thomas Jefferson, 1781

"In the councils of government, we must guard against the acquisition of unwarranted influence, whether sought or unsought, by the military-industrial complex. The potential for the disastrous rise of misplaced power exists and will persist. "
Dwight D. Eisenhower

"How many legs does a dog have if you call the tail a leg?
Four.
Calling a tail a leg doesn't make it a leg."
Abraham Lincoln

"See, in my line of work you got to keep repeating things over and over and over again for the truth to sink in, to kind of catapult the propaganda."
George W. Bush, May 24, 2005

Will The Shoe Finally Drop?

Two more days to the election. Will the shoe finally drop on the Bush administration? After having a crushing defeat in 2004 the apprehension from the Dems in the news and on the blogs is palpable. Will another election be robbed?
I am feeling pretty good about the outcome but I have to admit I am keeping my optimism low.

I LOVE that squirrel. And I am allowing myself total and unrestrained optimism.

I admire the optimism HCG, I hope we are celebrating Tuesday night. :)

Nice weasel. Good looking fur, too. I remember reading somewhere (although it was years ago) that fur was really hard for computer graphics programs to do well.
So much is potentially at stake for the Republicans. Subpoena power. Investigations. Testimony under oath. They just announced they're going to hang Saddam. If Bush & Co. end up before a war crimes tribunal, should they expect any mercy?
Optimism, but guarded optimism should be the rule. They are cornered rats, and as such are at their most dangerous and unpredictable.

Isn't he the cutest? I just love that "WTF?" look in his eyes.

We'll know tomorrow if this country must endure 2 more years of the same old crap, tick tock, tick tock.

I suppose he's cute for a "Scrat".
Yes... I looked it up, they don't call me researcher for nothing. :)
