Famous Quotes

"Every government degenerates when trusted to the rulers of the people alone. The people themselves, therefore, are its only safe depositories. "
Thomas Jefferson, 1781

"In the councils of government, we must guard against the acquisition of unwarranted influence, whether sought or unsought, by the military-industrial complex. The potential for the disastrous rise of misplaced power exists and will persist. "
Dwight D. Eisenhower

"How many legs does a dog have if you call the tail a leg?
Four.
Calling a tail a leg doesn't make it a leg."
Abraham Lincoln

"See, in my line of work you got to keep repeating things over and over and over again for the truth to sink in, to kind of catapult the propaganda."

Whoa, damned impressive message. That's gotta sting the Congress critter.

The point is very good that she doesn't know shit about what the research might be able to do.

The image is impressive.

I think using children may be controversial but so isn’t voting against stem cell research to keep campaign funds flowing.

From what I hear and read, kids may stand to gain more than adults from the research.

Regarding your comment today at MM, yeah, there was definate flipping here yesterday. We could not believe that announcement. We have never heard it before during any game, and we watch a lot of football. I guess when the holy dolphins are on, nothing else matters. I bet our local tv station got a few calls from viewers about as irate as we were. I hope they did.

POP, I've run into that up here in "Colt" country before, we have to watch the Colts no matter what. I think I even called CBS to vent.
I have to tell you though, I'm a long time "fish" fan. :)

I won't hold that against you. :)

I am a long time Cowboys fan. Turkey day should be interesting this year as the Bucs play the Cowboys.

That is POWERFUL!!

Pam, this is getting a lot of play across the net. They should use the same ad for as many candidates as possible.

They could also use similar ads for other issues like global warming where science has been pushed aside.

Oooh - Dang GOOD Message!

Very Powerful and to the point of skewering these craven pretenders to religious piety of playing GOD with other's people's lives.

Blogger researcher said ... (8:10 PM) :

Well said Karen, they are just playing to their base.
