"Every government degenerates when trusted to the rulers of the people alone. The people themselves, therefore, are its only safe depositories. "
Thomas Jefferson, 1781

"In the councils of government, we must guard against the acquisition of unwarranted influence, whether sought or unsought, by the military-industrial complex. The potential for the disastrous rise of misplaced power exists and will persist. "
Dwight D. Eisenhower

Four.
Calling a tail a leg doesn't make it a leg."

Bush Finally in "Nam"

Bush finally went to Vietnam, apparently to avoid the Iraq War, how ironic. Well, while he was there he was asked if there were lessons about Iraq to be found in our experience in Vietnam.
“One lesson is,” he said, “that we tend to want there to be instant success in the world, and the task in Iraq is going to take a while.”
“We’ll succeed,” the president concluded, “unless we quit.”

What a jackass, so what do you suppose his Vietnam hosts were thinking? Bush wishes we had stayed in the Vietnam War longer to kill more of the people he just had lunch with. What a moron he is.
And about wanting "instant success", it's been more then 3 1/2 years and we are now waiting for "study groups" to figure out what to do. MOOOOOROOOON!!!
